Winter Salt Week is January 27 - 31.

Salt prematurely ages roads, bridges, and sidewalks, leading to costly repairs and replacement. It also harms freshwater lakes, streams, and drinking water. 

Tune in for Winter Salt Week to hear ecologists, public works staff, and policymakers from across the U.S. discuss the environmental impact of de-icers, actions being taken to address these issues, and how individuals can get involved! 

Winter Salt Week will occur from Monday, January 27, to Friday, January 31. Daily live streams will start at 12:30 PM CT. Register at wintersaltweek.org.
